If you are a learner, interpreting and translation terms won’t be applicable to you; likewise, if you need an interpreting or translation service, tuition terms won’t be applicable to you.

I’m so excited to be working with you soon! Here are some details of what to expect.

The lessons

  • We will have a short chat before the first lesson for me to get your level and needs to get prepared.
  • All lesson materials will be provided by me and shared digitally so all you need is just a pen and paper! But I’m happy to recommend some extra books to buy at your own expense.
  • The lesson starts with a fun game or a short conversation as a warm-up which also helps extending the vocabulary. Worksheets can be assigned to practise and improve writing skills if the learner is willing to.
  • I have nearly 15 years of experience in teaching Turkish which means I know how to simplify the trickiest points.
  • Lastly, I myself have learned English as a second language and then German and Uzbek Turkish too which means I know how it feels to learn another language so don’t worry I will keep it nice and easy as much as possible!

Rescheduling/Cancelling

  • If a lesson needs to be rescheduled or cancelled, please give advanced notice to the teacher as soon as possible.
  • If a cancellation occurs on the same day of the lesson, half an hour’s fee will still be charged as I would lose that slot for another client.

Payment

  • One hour lesson costs £40. I do not recommend having more than 2 hours at one lesson.
  • Payment is accepted via bank transfer before each lesson. If there is more than one lesson per week, weekly payment is also fine.
  • If a late payment occurs £5 will be charged to meet the extra admin work.

Interpreting and Translation

  • We can hold the remote interpreting sessions over the phone or zoom, while face-to-face interpreting requires a minimum of one day’s notice.
  • When rescheduling/cancelling an interpreting request, if there are less than 24 hours before the session starts, half an hour’s fee will be charged.
  • Documents to be translated should be sent to me first so that I can give you a quote.
  • The full price will be charged in advance for translation services.
